Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul & Carmelo Anthony spoke out about violence during the ESPYs tonight. Way to go, use your platform as a way to influence others and perform a call for action.
It’s refreshing to see these players are so much more than just millionaire athletes. They do care about their cultures, backgrounds, and communities. It’s easy for some people who don’t like sports or don’t follow them closely to dismiss professional athletes as celebrities who don’t contribute to society... but they are role models for millions of children and teenagers.
Their message is loud and clear and they used a great opportunity to express themselves. Props.

All 4 of them do a ton of off the court work, which is not always widely published. It was great to see them use this stage to promote the same message.
